Is CBD Addictive?

CBD products are starting to take over the healthcare and beauty industries, and the benefits of CBD drive this trend higher. CBD or Cannabidiol helps relieve chronic pain, anxieties, and depression and supports patients with many harmful skin conditions. However, most people are still reluctant to adopt CBD because it comes from the Cannabis plant. They are worried due to addictions that other cannabis products are known to cause to their user.

So why not dedicate a blog post to discuss if any addictions associate with cannabidiol and how to avoid them.

What is Cannabidiol?

Cannabidiol is a cannabis plant extract that contains just one of the 80+ cannabinoids present in the cannabis plant. CBD is not like THC that contributes to high feelings associated with cannabis that can be addictive. CBD does not affect the human body like the other cannabinoids will do. Instead, it connects the endocannabinoid system to help with the homeostasis of our body. So, one of the greatest misconceptions, CBD and THC are the same components, has no solid ground.

You must note here that the Full-spectrum CBD oil contains traces of THC, but other CBD oils like the Broad-spectrum CBD and Isolate CBD contain negligible to no THC amounts. Therefore, especially for adolescents, only Isolate CBD is good. However, adults can use broad-spectrum and full-spectrum CBD without worries because, despite these products containing THC, they are safe for adults.

Is CBD addictive?

THC can cause addiction, but CBD is non-addictive. So, there is no coincidence that cannabidiol is a natural alternative to regular painkillers driven from opioids.

So CBD is not addictive, and regular users will get no intoxicating effects for their later life. Of course, they can stop CBD whenever they want, but following a CBD withdrawal plan is better to avoid consequences that may result from a sudden withdrawal from CBD.

Some resources suggest that CBD derived from hemp is better than marijuana-derived CBD because the latter can cause addiction problems. So, to avoid addiction, it is your job to make sure that your cannabidiol comes from the industrial hemp plant, which contains less than 0.3% levels of THC.

CBD for addiction recovery

CBD is good for fighting addictions, and it supports addicts with nausea, inflammation, and severe headaches. However, most of these claims are under research, and the proof will become available in the future.

So if you want to use CBD for addiction recovery, you are recommended to choose a product with low THC traces.

Is CBD oil safe for daily use?

You need to follow your daily CBD dosage plan to avoid any harm. CBD oil is safe as long as your using it within prescribed limits. It means that you will get no harmful side effects of CBD if you buy a product that contains little to no dangerous cannabinoids and has accurate CBD per drop.

You should incorporate only those products in your daily routine that meet these criteria. Otherwise, up to 1500 milligrams of CBD oil per day are safe, and this is too much more than you get in a single bottle.

Not sure how much CBD oil you should use? Set a dosage plan.

The dosage of CBD oil depends on many things like height, weight, health condition. We recommend starting small with Isolate CBD Oil, and then gradually increasing your dosage per day. At the start, you will put a few drops under your tongue and then wait for 30 seconds. Try doing this for some days, and if you need, you can increase the number of drops. But during this increase, you must keep track of your daily intakes.

There are some possible side-effects of CBD that you can learn more about from this post. However, none of these side-effects has addiction in it.

Does Cannabidiol cause addiction- bottom line?

CBD does not make you feel “high,” and it does not cause addiction. You can use it daily to enjoy many beneficial properties. However, you cannot underestimate possible side effects resulting from CBD overdosages, selecting the wrong product, or going to the wrong seller. You can avoid all of those troubles by following the right approach.

Even though CBD oil could be part of many health problems, the market is still relatively new. However, recent research on CBD oil continues to check how it can support many health problems, so we will probably be able to buy it with a prescription one day.
