Raw & Original and Cool & Fresh CBD oil bottles in 5%, 10% and 30%

Buy CBD oil in the UK from two lines: Raw & Original (full spectrum, unflavoured, in hemp seed oil) or Cool & Fresh (broad spectrum, mint, in MCT oil). Both come in 5%, 10% and 30% strengths, from £27. Every oil has a published batch lab report. They’re food supplements for adults, not medicines.

Buy CBD oil UK: compare the two lines

Oil Spectrum Carrier oil Flavour Strengths From
Raw & Original Full Hemp seed oil Unflavoured 5%, 10%, 30% £27.00
Cool & Fresh Broad MCT oil Mint flavour 5%, 10%, 30% £27.00

The percentage tells you how much CBD is in each ml of oil. A higher percentage isn’t the right starting point for everyone, so follow the serving information on the label. Cool & Fresh oils use MCT oil, so check the allergen information on each product page.

What is CBD oil?

CBD oil is cannabidiol (CBD) extracted from hemp and mixed into a carrier oil. It’s sold in a dropper bottle so you can measure it. You’ll also see it called CBD drops, CBD tincture or cannabidiol oil, and in UK shops these names (and “cannabidiol liquid”) usually mean the same format. Our oils come in two lines:

  • Raw & Original: full-spectrum hemp extract in hemp seed oil, unflavoured.
  • Cool & Fresh: broad-spectrum hemp extract in MCT oil, with mint flavour.

In the UK, CBD oil is sold as a food supplement for adults. It isn’t a medicine and isn’t intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. CBD isn’t suitable for under-18s. CBD isn’t suitable if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. If you take any medication, don’t use CBD unless a doctor has advised it. If you have a health condition, speak to your doctor before use. “Hemp oil” can also mean plain hemp seed oil, which isn’t the same as a CBD extract, so check that the label states the amount of CBD.

How do CBD drops compare to capsules and gummies?

All three formats contain CBD. The differences are practical: how you take them, how they taste and how the amount is shown on the label.

  • CBD oil and drops: you measure from a dropper, and the label states the CBD content. You can taste the oil (earthy for Raw & Original, mint for Cool & Fresh).
  • CBD capsules UK: a set amount per capsule, swallowed with water, with no taste.
  • CBD gummies UK: a set amount per chewable piece, with sugars and other food ingredients.

No format is automatically better than another. The right choice comes down to how you prefer to take a food supplement, the ingredients you want to avoid and what’s in stock. Capsule and gummy availability is shown on those ranges.

What strength should I look for on the label?

Two numbers matter on a CBD oil label:

  1. The percentage (5%, 10% or 30%) describes concentration: how much CBD is in the oil.
  2. The total milligrams (for example 1000mg) is the CBD in the whole bottle. A bigger bottle at the same percentage has more mg in total, but each ml has the same concentration.

For example, our Full Spectrum CBD Oil 10% – Raw & Original comes as 10ml (1000mg) or 30ml (3000mg). Both are 10%. The 30% oils hold 3000mg of CBD. “High strength” or “strongest CBD oil” only tells you about concentration. A higher percentage isn’t the right starting point for everyone.

Follow the directions on your label. The Food Standards Agency advises healthy adults to limit CBD consumption to no more than 10mg a day. This is general safety advice, not a personal dose. Don’t estimate a serving by converting drops to millilitres. If the serving information is unclear, contact us before use. Our guide to comparing 5%, 10% and 30% CBD oil goes into more detail.

What’s the difference between full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD oil?

They describe what’s in the hemp extract. Full spectrum keeps more of the plant’s own compounds, which can mean trace amounts of controlled cannabinoids within legal limits. Broad spectrum goes through an extra step to take the THC out. Raw & Original is our full spectrum line and Cool & Fresh is broad spectrum. The list below also covers isolate.

  • Full spectrum extract keeps a wider range of the hemp plant’s naturally occurring compounds, which can include trace controlled cannabinoids within legal limits. Our Raw & Original oils are labelled full spectrum.
  • Broad spectrum extract is processed further to remove THC while keeping other compounds. Our Cool & Fresh oils are labelled broad spectrum. If you’re looking for a “THC-free CBD oil”, read the controlled-cannabinoid results on the batch lab report rather than relying on a label phrase alone.
  • CBD isolate is CBD on its own, with the other plant compounds removed. We don’t currently list an isolate oil.

The spectrum describes what’s in the extract. It isn’t a measure of quality or of any effect. The carrier oil also differs: hemp seed oil in Raw & Original, and MCT oil in Cool & Fresh. See how carrier oils differ.

Is CBD Armour’s CBD oil organic?

Yes. Our CBD oils are certified organic. If you have any questions about certification, contact us. The paragraph below explains what “organic” should mean on any CBD oil label, so you can compare sellers before you buy and know what to look for.

In the UK, “organic” on a food product should be backed by certification from an approved control body, shown on the label with that body’s name or code. “Natural”, “pure” or “plant-based” aren’t the same. If organic sourcing matters, check the certifier on the label or ask the seller. “Pure CBD oil” alone doesn’t tell you spectrum, strength or certification — the label and lab report do. More detail: organic CBD oil UK label guide.

Is CBD Armour oil third-party lab tested?

Yes. Our oils are third-party lab tested. CBD Armour publishes a batch lab report (certificate of analysis, or CoA) for the current batch of each oil in both lines. To check yours, match the product name, strength and batch code on your bottle to the report, then check the analysis date. If it doesn’t match, ask us for the matching report. See how to read a certificate of analysis.

A CoA is a quality and transparency document. It confirms what was measured in a sample. It isn’t evidence that a product has any health effect.

Batch lab reports for every oil. Each product page links the COA for its current batch, and all six reports are listed on our batch lab reports page.

How do I choose CBD oil in the UK?

Compare CBD oils on things you can check rather than on how they’re described. Look at the label, the batch lab report, the full ingredients and the price per mg, and make sure you can reach the seller with questions. The checklist below covers each point, so you can compare our oils with any other seller’s on the same terms. Check for:

  • Clear labelling: percentage, total mg, bottle size, spectrum, carrier oil and directions.
  • Batch transparency: a published CoA matched to your batch code.
  • Full ingredients and allergens on the label and product page.
  • Food-supplement framing: sold for adults, with no promises to treat or cure anything.
  • A seller you can contact about the label — CBD Armour has sold CBD in the UK since 2017 from Birmingham.
  • Price per mg as well as the bottle price.

How much does CBD oil cost? Price per 100mg of CBD

Our CBD oils cost from £27.00 for a 10ml bottle of 5% oil up to £99.00 for a 10ml bottle of 30% oil. Bottle prices rise with size and strength, so the table below also shows the price per 100mg of CBD, worked out from the strength and bottle size on each label. These are our prices for every size:

Strength Bottle CBD in bottle Price Price per 100mg CBD
5% 10ml 500mg £27.00 £5.40

Prices are the same for Raw & Original and Cool & Fresh at each size. A lower price per mg doesn’t make one oil a better fit than another. FAQs

What is CBD oil?

CBD oil is CBD extracted from hemp and mixed into a carrier oil, sold in a dropper bottle. In the UK it’s a food supplement for adults, not a medicine.

What is the difference between CBD oil and CBD drops?

Usually none. “CBD drops” and “CBD tincture” are common names for CBD oil in a dropper bottle. Check the label for the strength, spectrum and carrier oil.

What strengths and spectrums does CBD Armour offer?

We currently list 5%, 10% and 30% oils in two lines. Raw & Original is full spectrum in hemp seed oil and unflavoured. Cool & Fresh is broad spectrum in MCT oil with mint flavour. Bottle totals range from 500mg to 3000mg, depending on the product.

What does full spectrum or broad spectrum mean?

Full spectrum keeps a wider range of the hemp plant’s compounds, including trace controlled cannabinoids within legal limits. Broad spectrum is processed further to remove THC. Check the batch lab report for the measured results.

Are these products medicines?

No. They’re retail food supplements for adults and aren’t intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Follow the label. CBD isn’t suitable if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. If you take any medication, don’t use CBD unless a doctor has advised it. Nothing on this page is medical advice.

Is CBD oil legal in the UK?

CBD products that meet UK rules can be sold legally as food supplements. Read Is CBD legal in the UK? for the detail.

Do you sell high strength CBD oil?

Yes. Our 30% oils are our high-strength option: 3000mg of CBD in a 10ml bottle, in Raw & Original (full spectrum, unflavoured) and Cool & Fresh (broad spectrum, mint). Higher strength means more CBD per ml. It doesn’t make an oil better, and it isn’t where everyone should start. Follow the label’s serving information. Comparing high strength CBD oil? Check the strength and bottle size on each label.

Is 30mg of CBD a lot?

30mg is more than the daily amount the Food Standards Agency advises healthy adults not to go over, which is set out in the strength section above. Follow the serving information on your label and don’t go over it. CBD isn’t suitable if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. If you take any medication, don’t use CBD unless a doctor has advised it.

Is CBD oil the same as hemp oil?

Not always. “Hemp oil” often means hemp seed oil, which is pressed from hemp seeds and used as a food oil rather than as a source of CBD. CBD oil contains a hemp extract with a stated amount of CBD. Our Raw & Original oils use hemp seed oil as the carrier, with full-spectrum hemp extract added. See CBD oil vs hemp oil for the key differences.

Is CBD oil the same as cannabis oil?

No. CBD oil sold as a food supplement in the UK is made from hemp extract and must meet legal limits on THC and other controlled cannabinoids. Oils sold as “cannabis oil” that contain THC are controlled drugs in the UK. Cannabis-based medicines are a separate category, prescribed only by specialist doctors. Read Is CBD legal in the UK?

What does “pure CBD oil” mean?

“Pure” isn’t a defined term for CBD oil. Check the label for the spectrum, carrier oil and CBD content, and the batch lab report for the measured cannabinoid results. CBD by itself, with the hemp plant’s other compounds taken out, is called isolate. We don’t currently list an isolate oil.
