“THC-free” is a product description that should be checked against the label and a report for the relevant batch. It should not be read as a guarantee about every molecule in a bottle, a workplace drug-test result or a product’s suitability for you.

Broad spectrum and isolate: what the descriptions mean

Broad-spectrum products are generally described as containing CBD and other plant compounds after processing intended to remove THC. CBD isolate describes a more purified CBD ingredient. Neither description, by itself, confirms the measured contents of a finished product.

Read the ingredient list alongside the cannabinoid report. A product name, strength percentage or extraction-method claim cannot replace batch evidence. A higher CBD concentration does not establish a lower THC content.

How to read a batch report

Use the lab-report page and check the details against the bottle you intend to buy:

1. Product and batch: does the report identify the same product and batch number?
2. Date and sample: when was the sample tested, and is it the finished product or an ingredient?
3. Units: are results given as a percentage, mg/g, mg/ml or another unit? Do not compare unlike units directly.
4. Reported cannabinoids: check what was actually measured, rather than assuming every compound was included.
5. Detection and reporting limits: find the laboratory’s explanation of terms such as “not detected” and “below quantification”.

“Not detected” is a result within a test’s detection limits; it is not proof of absolute absence. If the report does not show the relevant limits, ask the supplier or laboratory to explain the result. A report for an older batch is historical information and should not be presented as a test of today’s bottle.

Can THC-free CBD oil guarantee a negative drug test?

No such guarantee is made here. Product descriptions do not control a testing programme or establish the contents of every bottle. The American College of Medical Toxicology’s position statement explains that some products sold as CBD can contain enough THC to result in a positive THC-metabolite test.

If testing affects your employment, sport or another obligation, seek advice from the relevant programme or qualified professional before using a CBD product. Do not rely on a retailer’s label as a drug-testing exemption or assurance.

What a report cannot tell you

A cannabinoid result does not prove that a product treats pain, anxiety, insomnia or another condition. Nor does it establish whether it is suitable alongside your medicines. Extraction methods and terms such as “natural” or “organic” do not automatically establish finished-product safety.

A practical buying checklist

Compare the intended use, total CBD amount, bottle volume, ingredients, batch evidence and current availability. Ask for clarification if a product description and report do not agree. A supplier should distinguish what its evidence shows from what remains unverified.
