CBD and Skincare: Choosing a CBD Face Cream, Soap or Oil

CBD and skincare: start with the format

CBD and skincare shopping in the UK starts with the format: a CBD face cream for your daily routine, a soap bar for washing, or an oil made for the hair. Then read the full ingredient list and the directions, because the finished formula matters as much as the CBD. A cream, an oil and a rinse-off soap have different uses, and the CBD on the label doesn’t make them interchangeable.

This guide shows what to compare. When you’re ready, the CBD creams in our cosmetics range list the full ingredients on every product page.

CBD skin cream, soap or oil: choose the format for your routine

Format	What to compare before choosing
Face cream	Intended use, full ingredients, texture and directions
Skin oil	Whether it is intended for external use, its carrier ingredients and application instructions
Soap	Cleansing directions and ingredients in the finished soap
Bath product	Instructions for the bath, fragrance ingredients and any warnings
Hair product	Intended application to hair or scalp and whether it should be rinsed out

An oral CBD oil is not automatically a skincare product. Use each product only for the purpose stated on its label.

CBD cream for skin: read the whole ingredient list

CBD is one part of a formula. Check the complete list rather than judging a product by the CBD number on the front. If you avoid particular fragrances or ingredients, look for them by name rather than relying on words such as “natural” or “gentle”.

Our skincare ingredient guide explains how to approach an INCI list. For the actual formula, use the ingredient information for the exact product and variant you are considering.

CBD face cream: day cream or night cream?

Compare the day cream and night cream by their stated directions and ingredients. A day or night name alone does not establish a particular result, and a day cream should not be assumed to provide sun protection unless the label states an SPF.

Choose a product that fits your existing routine. Avoid changing several products together if you want to understand which one suits you.

Compare our face creams: CBD Day Cream · CBD Night Cream, £14.99 each. The night cream adds avocado oil; both list jojoba seed oil. Check the product page for current stock. → Shop the CBD skincare range

Introducing a new product

Read the label before use and follow its warnings. Our patch-test guide explains the checks to consider when trying a new cosmetic. A home patch test cannot guarantee that a later reaction will not occur.

If you have an ongoing skin problem, speak to a pharmacist or doctor. A cosmetic description isn’t a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation.

Soap and hair care

Our CBD soap bar (£9.99) is a rinse-off cleansing bar, and our CBD hair oil (£14.99) is for the hair and scalp. Both are in the same cosmetics range. Check each product’s ingredients and directions, because these formats have different uses.

Does a higher CBD number mean a better cream?

The number alone does not establish how a finished formula will suit your skin. Compare intended use, the complete formula and the directions; do not treat CBD content as a clinical effectiveness rating.

Can I use the same product on my face, hair and body?

Only where its label allows. A product made for one use should not be assumed suitable for another.
