Virus, in general, tends to mutate. Due to this, they lead to a new variation of their existing form which is exactly what has happened with the COVID-19 strain. Although it is not possible to get complete assurance from the strain, we can still follow the below-mentioned guidelines to stay safe.
Wear A Mask All The Time
It is of utmost importance that we follow the basic principles all the time.
Whenever you are in public it is always necessary to wear a mask. You can get various types of masks available, from the N95 respirators (most effective) to surgical masks to cotton masks (least effective). Choose any depending on your requirements.
Know that in certain situations, it is advisable to wear a double mask as this will reduce the chances of the droplets passing through the nasal passage significantly.
Lesser Public Interaction
Try to reduce the public interaction as much as possible as the covid strain has a faster pace of spreading.
For this, try to avoid public gatherings as much as possible so as to reduce the probability of getting affected. Lastly, try maintaining at least a 1-foot distance with people around you.
Wash Your Hands Frequently
Make sure that you wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. If that is not possible use a sanitizer that has at least 60% alcohol content in them.
Avoid touching your nose or mouth with unwashed hands as it can lead to some virus entering into your body.
If at all you feel that you might be infected it is always a better option to isolate yourself so that you do not infect any other person around you.
This is a pro-active measure that to have to take so that no other person gets infected because of your carelessness.
Consult A Doctor
It is always advisable to visit your doctor if you feel that your health is deteriorating.
However, unnecessary visits should be avoided as it can lead to an increase in the chances of getting infected.
If you are in a position to get vaccinated, get it as soon as possible.
Although getting vaccinated doesn’t lead to an assurance that you won’t be infected, it definitely reduces the chances of getting infected

This isn’t something that you can achieve in a day. You have to inculcate certain habits in your daily routine to boost your immunity.
You can improve your immunity in the following ways:
- Try to have a proper meal which is an ideal mix of fruits and vegetables.
- Exercise regularly
- Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day
- Quit smoking or any other such bad habits
